Friday 08 March 2013
Fly from USA if opting for early arrival.
Saturday 09 March
Main tour fly from USA. For transfer from airport: After clearing customs, and taking the l-o-n-g walk to the exit, continue on until you see an exit sign for buses on the right. Go down the ramp and look to the left and you will see signs for the AEROBUS. If you don’t have any euro, there is a machine that will take debit or credit cards. Purchase a return ticket for €9.75. Board the bus and you will be in the city in about a half hour. Exit the bus at the last stop which is Catalunya Plaza. With the Plaza on your right, walk to the intersection and cross the street. Turn right and walk the short distance to La Rambla and turn left. You will see the Hotel Rivoli Rambla (+34 934 817 676) on your left in about 100 meters.
Sunday 10 March
Main group arrives. See above for transfer information. Use the rest of the day for recovery from the long flight–shower, nap, explore the neighborhood. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Monday 11 March
Breakfast at the hotel (every morning.) Explore Barcelona with your 2-day Hop on, Hop off bus pass. Dinner at the Attic Restaurant.
Tuesday 12 March
Continue exploring Barcelona with your 2-day Hop on, Hop off bus pass. Dinner will be at a Tapas bar.
Wednesday 13 March
Meet in lobby at 9:00 for half-day Gaudi guided tour with our own guide and minibus. Tonight’s dinner will feature paella.
Thursday 14 March
Meet in lobby at 9:00 for half-day excursion to Montserrat with our own guide and minibus. Tonight we will go to the Palacio del Flamenco for dinner and show. The dinner begins at 18:40 so we will need to leave the hotel earlier so we are not late.
Friday 15 March
Continue exploring Barcelona but now using transportation tickets for the metro and/or buses. Dinner TBA
Saturday 16 March
See Friday. Dinner TBA
Sunday 17 March
Check out and transfer to airport for your flight home. (Hopefully you haven’t lost your return ticket for the Aerobus!)
