Itinerary

Saturday, March 13 Depart San Antonio on Delta at either 9:50 or 12:30 for Atlanta. Depart Denver on Delta 952 at 11:15 am, arrive Atlanta at 4:05 PM. Depart DFW on Delta 1066 at 1:05 PM, arrive Atlanta at 4:18 PM. Depart Phoenix on Delta 620 at 10:30 am, arrive Atlanta at 4:02 PM. Depart SFO on Delta 1960 at 8:20 am, arrive Atlanta at 3:43 PM. Everyone departs Atlanta on DL 0098 at 5:55 PM.
Seattle people will go through JFK, departing SEA on DL 1178 at 8:20 am, arrive JFK at 4:16. Depart JFK on DL 126 at 5:40 PM.

Sunday, March 14 The JFK people will arrive in Madrid at 7:00 am, the Atlanta people at 8:15. Everybody depart Madrid on Iberia 216 at 10:35 am, arrive Malaga at 11:40 am. Transfer to Torremolinos. Check-in at the Hotel Cervantes (+34 952384033). Dinner and overnight in Torremolinos

Monday, March 15 Breakfast and departure to Granada, arrival and check-in at the Hotel Carmen. (+34985258300) In the afternoon: Panoramic view of the city, the Alcaiceria (Old Silk Market) the Cathedral and Royal Chapelle (where the Catholic Kings are buried), Alhambra Palace, the Generalife Gardens and the Carlos V Courtyard. Dinner and overnight in Granada. 

Tuesday, March 16 Breakfast and departure to Ubeda and Baeza, free time to visit these two Renaissance cities. Return to Granada in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Granada.

Wednesday, March 17 Breakfast and departure to Cordoba, and then visit the city with our local guide: Panoramic view of the city, the Roman Bridge, the Calahorra Tower, Las Tendillas Square and visit of the Cathedral (former Mosque) and the former Jewish Quarter and Synagogue. Departure to Sevilla, arrival, check-in at the Gran Hotel Lar. (+34954410361) Dinner and overnight in Sevilla.

Thursday, March 18 Breakfast meeting with our local guide and visit of Sevilla. Panoramic view of the city by bus and walking: The Spain Square, Maria Luisa Gardens, Santa Cruz Quarter (former Jewish Quarter), Cathedral and the Alcazar. Dinner and Flamenco Show in El Patio Sevillano.

Friday, March 19 Breakfast and departure to Ronda. Check-in at the Hotel Maestranza. (+34 952187072) In the afternoon, city visit: The Paseo de la Alameda, the Tajo, the oldest Bullring in Spain, Santa Maria Church and Casa Don Bosco. Dinner and overnight in Ronda. 

Saturday, March 20 Breakfast and drive to Algeciras harbor. Pick up of ferry tickets at Comarit office. Embarkment on the ferry passing the Straits of Gibraltar to Tanger. Welcome by the local guide and afternoon city visit of The Kasbah, Zoco, Medina (Old Town), the snake charmer and the Bazaar. Dinner and overnight in the .Hotel Movenpick in Tanger.

Sunday, March 21 Departure to Fes. En route stop at the weekly Berber market. Afterwards, lunch in Asilah. Continue on to Volubilis to visit the 2nd & 3rd century Roman ruins. Proceed to the old city of Moulay Idriss, venerated as the burial place of the founder of Islam in Morocco. Continuing to Meknes, surrounded by 25 miles of triple walls. See the monumental gates of Bab Mansour and the Mellah (Jewish Quarter). On arrival in Fes, check-in at the Hotel Les Merinides, (+212 55645226) Dinner and overnight in Fes.

Monday, March 22 Full day sightseeing of the most imperial of the Imperial cities, Fes. As a cross-road on the caravan routes, Fes became the cultural, intellectual and spiritual center of Morocco. Tour will include the medieval medina ( a UNESCO World Heritage Site) , the Nejjarine Fountain, the Great Gate Known as Bab Boujeloud and the medrasas. Dinner and overnight in Fes.

Tuesday, March 23 Departure to Marrakech across the Middle Atlas mountains, stop in Beni-Mellal, visit of this beautiful city, then continue to the south to Marrakech, the Jewel of Morocco. Dinner and overnight in Hotel Kenzi Farah in Marrakech. (+212 44431377).

Wednesday, March 24 The entire day will be devoted to the visit of Marrakesh, the second oldest Imperial city, known as “The pearl of the South”. The city was founded by the Almoravides at the end of the 11th century. The historical sightseeing includes the Menara gardens, the Saadian tombs, The Bahia Palace, and the Koutubia. Back to the Hotel for lunch. Continuation of the visit in the afternoon, visit of the souks and handicraft quarter displaying a variety of items and the famous place Djema El Fna with its non stop entertainment. Dinner with Fantasia at “Chez Ali” in the desert in a tent, complete with dancing and an outdoor show with Arabian horses. Overnight in Hotel Kenzi Farah in Marrakech.

Thursday, March 25 Breakfast and departure for Rabat. En route visit of Casablanca, panoramic view of the city. Lunch and continuation to Rabat with visit to sites as time permits: We will start with a panoramic view of the Residential area and the Embassy quarter. Continuation to the Royal Palace, The Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II, the ruins of the old Mosque and the Hassan Tower. Continue on to Tanger. Dinner and overnight in the Hotel Movenpick in Tanger 

Friday, March 26 After breakfast, embarkment and passing the straits of Gibraltar, arrival and continuation to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and overnight again in the Hotel Cervantes in Torremolinos.

Saturday, March 27 .Breakfast and transfer to the Malaga Airport. Depart Malaga on Iberia, IB 0217 at 8:30am, arrive Madrid at 9:30 am. Depart Madrid at 11:30 am on Delta, DL 109, arrive Atlanta at:3:35 pm Tour ends with everyone headed for home cities on Delta flights. See your ticket for the details.
